| Job Duties: | Maintains, repairs and overhauls light and heavy equipment such as: cranes, excavators, flatbed trucks, dump trucks, bulldozers, backhoes, metal crushing machine, tire shredders and metal cutting machines. Road tests equipment, make emergency repairs in the field. Use electronic analyzing equipment to diagnose problems. May perform gas and electronic welding and metal fabrication. Drive and operate heavy equipment. Learn and follow safty requlations. take action to avoid potential hazards and obstractions, such utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects. Adjust handwheels and depress pedals to control attachments, such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing booms. Monitor operation to ensure that health and safety standards are met. Performs other related duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | ER Preference: Through knowledge of principles and operation of internal combustion gasoline and diesel engines. Through knowledge of the maintenance, repair and overhaul requirement of light and heavy vehicles. Through knowledge of maintenace, repair overhaul requirement of hydraulic systmens, fuel systems, air brake systems, cooling systems and transmissions.Through knowledge of blueprint reading of schematic concepts, garage safety procedures and automotive diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of recycling operations. Ability to understand, follow and write safety procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. O-Net: Title Job Zone Four: Considerable Preparation Needed Overall Experience A minimum of two to four years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed for these occupations. For example, an accountant must complete four years of college and work for several years in accounting to be considered qualified.
