Job Duties: Entertains and assist customers,inspect vehicles for the preparation and performing of four wheel alignment using four wheel computerized aligner. Diagnosed vehicle problem, do various type of alignment,mechanical jobs, correct malfunction of tires using electronic test equipment, inspect and drive test vehicle for record findings made to ensure that tires are working properly and aligned. Know the components, classification and its application of passenger, commercial,industrial and OTR tires. Give seminars to Bus and Industrial companies regarding usage and application of commercial, industrial and OTR tires. Secure customers approval for performing the job. * Depress pedals to rotate drums, and wind specified numbers of plies around drums to form tire bodies. * Start rollers that bond tread and plies as drums revolve. * Activate bead setters that press prefabricated beads onto plies. * Inspect worn tires for faults, cracks, cuts and nail holes, and to determine if tires are suitable for retreading. * Cut plies at splice points, and press ends together to form continuous bands. * Align treads with guides, start drums to wind treads onto plies, and slice ends. * Position rollers that turn ply edges under and over beads, or use steel rods to turn ply edges. * Position ply stitcher rollers and drums according to width of stock, using hand tools and gauges. * Build semi-raw rubber treads onto buffed tire casings in order to prepare tires for vulcanization in recapping or retreading processes. * Pull plies from supply racks, and align plies with edges of drums.

Qualification Requirements: ER Preference: -College level -must know how to perform four wheel alignment machine -must have certificate of training -Knowledgeable in recapping. -must know how to do troubleshooting and mechanical jobs -must know how to repair tires from passenger to OTR tires. -must all the components of tires and its application especially on commercial and industrial tires. -can give seminars to Bus and Industrial companies regarding tire application and its usage. -must have presence of mind -can work flexible time -computer literate O-Net: Title Job Zone Two: Some Preparation Needed Overall Experience Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience may be helpful in these occupations, but usually is not needed.
