| Job Duties: | Coordinates activities of workers engaged in promoting sales and merchandise. Associate in greeting customers and ascertain what each customer wants and needs. Open and close cash registers,perform task such as counting money,separating charge slips,coupons,and vouchers,balancing cash drawers,and making deposits. Assist workers in maintaining knowledge of current sales and promotions,policies regarding payment and exchanges,and security practices. Promote sale of commodities. Compute sales prices,total purchases, receive and process cash or credit payment. Maintain all records related to sales of the merchandise.Watch for and recognizes security risks and thefts,and must know hot to prevent or handle these situations. Recommend,select,and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires. Answer questions and recommends new items of the store and its merchandise. Train workers in describing merchandise and explain use,operation,and care of merchandise to customers.Help in the ticket,arranging and display merchandise to promote sales.
