| Job Duties: | Host a professional and entertaining show on KWAW-FM (Filipino Radio Station) appealing to an audience as specified by the station’s program director/GM with flexibility to work as scheduled. Host major coverage programming and special shows as required. Generate new business by selling radio commercial airtime meeting sales quota to be determined by actual time spent on board to host a regular program and other duties related to the operation of the radio station. Commission on sales after meeting quota will be 5%-15% as per volume. Duties include prospecting for and closing sales with new advertisers, work with company accountant on collection of monies owed for advertisements, management of accounts with an eye toward producing results for advertisers and enhancing radio station revenues and profitability. Assist program director/GM with production of commercials and upkeep of music library. experience at a radio station preferably in news/talk programming. Must haves: good broadcast voice with friendly and credible approach; ability to work under deadline pressure and the ability to interact in an entertaining, engaging, and credible way with other talent and the market audience. Position requires a broad knowledge of current events, popular culture, CHR (current hit release) music from USA and the Philippines. One-year of sales experience preferred but not required; media sales experience a plus. Must be highly motivated to succeed in a competitive environment. Position requires a person with high energy, outgoing personality, strong work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, valid driver’s license, a good driving record and reliable transportation preferred but not necessary. College Diploma in related field. |
