Job Duties: Participates in the activities of cooks and kitchen personnel. Estimates food consumption, requisition foodstuffs based on economic reorder points. Receives and examines foodstuffs to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications. Cuts, trims, bones meat and poultry. Determines size of portions and method of garnishing. Designs, prepares decorated food and artistic food arrangement for buffet and private reservations. Prepares food such as hors d’ oeuvres, casserole and cold cuts. Bakes bread, rolls, muffins, pies, tarts and cobblers. Mixes and prepares soups, sauces, meat glazes, jellies, salad dressing and stuffing. Plan menus and develop recipes that are nutritional. Cooks chinese dishes, dinners and dessert. Maintains kitchen equipment, supplies and kitchen area in clean and orderly condition. Other duties as deemed necessary
