Job Duties: • Participate in Program Review and Outcomes Assessment (PROA) activities. • Provides high-quality student and internal and external customer service. • Responsible for collecting, recording, maintaining and reporting of student records within FERPA guidelines, e.g., grades, registration data, transcripts, and academic standing. • Evaluates student transcripts for prior college education to determine the awarding of transfer credits. • Updates all transcripts, Individual Degree Plans (IDP), and Individual Certificate Plans (ICP), and records course descriptions. • Evaluates and certifies all student applications for graduation (petition to graduate), provides a list of graduating candidates to the OAR Director, and assist in completing the graduation process to include all elements of the rehearsal and ceremony. • Evaluates and coordinates the dissemination of information on courses offered and advises students of the required procedures to follow in order to obtain completion of graduation requirements toward an associate or bachelor degree. • Provides individual educational advisement to students regarding choice of major; facilitates students’ exploration of educational interests through support for various activities. • Facilitates the College Advising Workshop in regards to FERPA, grading procedures and the registration process. • Participates in outreach programs such as recruitment events where college information is disseminated; involves in assisting high school students with the process of applying to college and various financial aid. • Responsible for preparing and disseminating notification of students’ probation, suspension or dismissal status and provides a list to the OAR Director and the Counseling department each term. • Responsible for preparing and disseminating notification of students’ Honor status (President’s and Dean’s List) and provides a list to the OAR Director each term. • Issues official transcripts, grade reports, enrollment verification, and certification letters. • Plays a role in the selection, implementation and ongoing support of technology used to support the work of the department including student information systems and document imaging/workflow systems. • Works closely with admissions officers, counselors, and academic advisors during registration periods and as needed. • Exchanges student information with other colleges and universities within FERPA guidelines. • Assist the OAR Director in conducting workshops for the college community. • Supervise Records and Registration staff. • Adheres to College policies and procedures. • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualification Requirements: ER Preference: Bachelor’s degree from a U.S.-accredited institution in education or related field plus two (2) years of experience in a post-secondary educational institution, preferably in admissions and records area. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Many require more than five years of experience. For example, surgeons must complete four years of college and an additional five to seven years of specialized medical training to be able to do their job.
