Job Duties: Install structures and fixture such as windows,floors and other wooden fixtures used in building, using woodworking machine, carpenter handtools and powertools. Erect scaffolding and ladder for assembling structures above ground floor level. Remove damged or defevtive parts or sections of structures and repaires or replace, using handtolls. Install structures and fixture, such windows, frame, floorings, and trim or hardware, using carpenter hand tools and powertools. Measure and work cutting lines on materials using ruler pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Follow established safety rules and regulation and maintain a safe and clean environment. Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level, shape or cut materials to specified measurement, using handtools, machine or power saw. Study specifications in blueprint, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimension and materials required. Assemble and fasten materials to make feframe work or props, using handtools and wood screws, nails, dowels pins, or glue. * Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. * Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities. * Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones. * Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. * Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. * Position, join, align, and seal structural components, such as concrete wall sections and pipes. * Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed. * Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. * Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures. * Build and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
