| Job Duties: | Knowledge of the standard practices, processes, tools, equipment, and materials of masonry and plastering. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the trade. Skill in the application of plaster, and in cutting and laying of blocks, bricks, and tiles. Installs, repairs, and replaces ceilings, tiles, floor tiles, and exterior roofing. Sets tile floors and walls after spreading surface with materials such as cement grout and paste; Lays cement bricks and blocks for interior and exterior walls. Installs, finishes, and patches holes in drywall. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials. Ability to make simple arithmetic computations. Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment, such as mixers, compressors, power tools, trucks. Ability to construct forms. Ability to prepare time and material estimates. Ability to determine the quality of materials used. Knowledge of all elements of masonry work. |

| Qualification Requirements: | ER Preference: At least one year or two years of certificate working experience in the masonry and/or plastering trade. For example, an electrician must have completed three or four years of apprenticeship or several years of vocational training, and often must have passed a licensing exam, in order to perform the job.
