| Job Duties: | To be responsible for the telephone cable splicing to make the circuit lines continues and to ensure that the schedule route of cable count has been properly designated on the assigned area. * Jointing Telephone Copper Cable using UR’s, UY’s and modular connectors. * Splicing of working lines (Cut-Over) * Cable testing such as, loop resistance and insulation test. * Interpret cable pair and count and read plans or staking sheets. * Termination of cables on the Intermediate Distribution Frame and Main Distribution Frame using PT66 punch down terminals. * Termination of data, voice using modular connector. * Installation of IDF and MDF accessories, connecting blocks, patch panel and base on the required installation standards. * Installation of cable splice enclosures, such as BB, HBF, Ray-Chem, and PLP closures for Underground and Aerial cables. * Installation of Network Interface Device, Buried Housing Plant Unit, Housing Ground System base on Rural Electrification Administration. * Trouble shooting and repair of telephone lines, individual or major cable trouble. |
