| Job Duties: | Assembles, installs & repair pipes, fittings & fixtures of heating, water, & drainage system, according to specifications & plumbing codes. Studies building plans & working drawings to determine work aids required & sequence of installation. Inspect structure to ascertain obstruction to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe. Locates and marks position of pipe & pipe connections & passage holes for pipes in walls & floors using ruler, spirit level & plumb bob. Cuts opening in walls & floors to accommodate pipe & pipe fittings, using handtool & power tools. Cuts & thread pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch & pipe threading machine. Bends pipe to required angle by use of pipe-bending machine or by placing pipe over block & bending it by hand. Assembles & installs valves, pipe fittings, pipe composed of metal, such as iron, steel, brass, lead & nonmetals such as glass, vitrified clay & plastic, using handtools & power tools. Join pipes by use scews, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent & caulks joints. Fill pipe system with water or air & reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heater, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers and water softeners. Repairs & maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes and opening clogged drains. May weld holding fixtures to steel structure members. when specializing in in maintenance and repair of heating, water & drainage system in industrial or commercial establishments. |

| Qualification Requirements: | ER Preference: Hardworking, punctual, skilled with 2 years actual experience. Can work alone and less supervision. Can work flexible hours and on call on emergencies.
