| Job Duties: | Performs daily maintenance and preventive maintenance on all ground service equipment. Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as cranes, bulldozers, graders, and conveyors, used in construction, logging, and surface mining. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications. Repair and replace damaged or worn parts. Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects. Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices. Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges. Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records. Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency |

| Qualification Requirements: | Preferably graduate of vocational course on automotive and diesel engine vehicles. Minimum 2 years maintenance experience including welding, painting, electrical work, front end, brakes, hydraulics, and diesel. Has knowledge in repairs and overhaul of gas and diesel engines. Skilled in local parts fabrication and in trouble-shooting procedures for all technical discrepancies and problems. Must provide necessary tools and have knowledge of all aspects of ground support equipment used in the operation. Ability to work flexible schedules to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to pass a drug test. Must be able to pass a 10yr background check. Ability to read and comprehend instructions; short correspondence, and memos; write correspondence; and effectively present information to a diverse group of people; add subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations; regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. O-Net: Title Job Zone Three: Medium Preparation Needed Overall Experience Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. For example, an electrician must have completed three or four years of apprenticeship or several years of vocational training, and often must have passed a licensing exam, in order to perform the job.
