Job Duties: Puts fishing equipments into the water and anchor or tow equipment, according to the fishing method used. maintains and cleanse the engines, fishing gear, and other on-board equipment; and perform minor repairs. Sorts, packs, and stores catches with salt and ice. Removes catches from fishing equipment and measures them to ensure compliance with legal size. Locates fish, using fish-finding equipment. Pulls and guides nets, traps, and lines into the vessel, by hand or using hoisting equipment and do other related duties.
