| Job Duties: | Positions and secures reinforcing bars in concrete forms. Determines quantity, diameters, measurements, shapes, and locations of reinforcing bars in accordance to blueprints, sketches or oral instructions. Lays out and examines metal stock or workpieces to be processed to ensure that specs. are met. Verifies conformity of workpieces to specifications using rulers, squares, and measuring tapes. Studies engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements and work sequences. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders and drill presses. Performs other tasks assigned. |
