Job Title: Farm Worker/Landscaper
Job Duties: Directs and coordinates through subordinate personnel, activities of workers engaged in nursery, landscaping and plant retail, plant maintenance, grounds and utility system of a nursery. Manages sale of plants and materials related to planting; Formulates pricing policies for plant and planting materials according to requirements for profitability of operations; Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing plant displays at selling areas; Supervises employees engaged in sales, taking of inventories, keeping operating records or preparing daily record of transactions for Accountant, or performs work of subordinates when the need arise; Prepares requisition to replenish materials/supplies needed for operations; May answer customer complaint or inquiries; Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of electric power, water, etc., required for operations; Develops preventive maintenance programs reviews quality control, and production reports and statistics to plan and modify activities; Inspects machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards; Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations , minimize operating costs and effect greater utilization of labor and materials; Reviews and implements landscaping plans and discusses needs and modifications; Directs training and indoctrination of workers with company policies and procedures; Confers with management to resolve problems and recommends measures to improve operations; May confer with workers to resolve grievances. Perform other related duties as may be assigned or required.
