Job Duties: Er preference: Maintains the operation of the Public Address(PA) System.Maintains the operation of the Intercom System.Maintains the operation of the Bell and Scheduling System.Maintains the operation of the DNS Server,Domain Controller,File Server and Web Server.Updates the WEB Server.Maintains the backups of the School Minder Data, Library Pro Data, Web Data, Filemaker Pro Data, Quickbooks Data.Conducts SecurityManagement, adding & deleting users,changing passwords (when requested).Provides routine maintenance & examines & configures anti-virus updates.Manages of sytem and error logs.Provide routine maintenance on the physical cleanliness of the servers inside and out.Provides routine maintenance on the power testing of UPS status & functionality of the Network Operation Center (NOC).Maintains licenses and maintenance agreements on server hardware & operating system hardware.Troubleshoots any network problems that arise and repairs them.Maintains & implements best practice in the discipline of System Administration; remains current with hardware & operating system changes & technologies as they evolve.Coordinates the purchase of all computers related materials & equipment in accordance with School Policy& Procedures.Establishes the School Minder Start of School Year Procedures & End of School Year Procedure.Establishes the Edline Start of the School Year Procedures & End of the School Year Procedures.Conducts the End of Year Backup on School Minder Data, Library Pro Data, Web Data, Quickbooks Data,Filemaker ProData, Bell & Scheduling Data.Provides maintenance & repairs on broken computer (PC Mac).Provides servicing of peripheral components.Provides support over 200 computers(desktops & laptops).Provides support 3 servers(DNS Server, File Server & Web Server).Provides support Sonic Wall Firewall, wired and wireless network.Assists in planning, designing,documentation & implementation of various systems to include desktops PC's, laptops, servers, network equipment& software applications.Makes recommendations for new equipment & services to purchase & works with various vendors for procurement.Provides professional development to teachers & staff on the use of computer applications or programs such as spreadsheets, desktop publishing program,word processing & classrooms & school system software.Performs other related duties as assigned. Onet: * Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow. * Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems. * Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards. * Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems. * Review and analyze computer printouts and performance indicators to locate code problems, and correct errors by correcting codes. * Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles. * Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs a computer program is to address. * Read manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn how to develop programs that meet staff and user requirements. * Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared. * Determine computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter system.
