| Job Duties: | Commands ferryboat to transport passengers, or freight across lakes or rivers. Signals crew to close ferry gates and raise loading ramp, and signals engine room to start engines. Determines course and speed of ferryboat on basis of specialized knowledge of local winds, weather, tides and current. Steers ferryboat, or orders worker at helm to steer ferryboat toward slip (landing pier) on opposite side of water. Inspects ferryboat to ensure that passengers and crew observe regulations pertaining to safe and efficient operation of ferryboat. Signals engine room to reverse engines, and maneuvers ferryboat into slip. Performs other related duties that may be assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | 1.)Must have a fast craft experience at least 2 years either in MJP or Kamewa. 2.)Holder of a valid Unlimited 2nd Mate License & Upgraded License to Chief Mate limited to 500 GRT. 3.)Holder of a valid Panama License as Chief Mate. 4.)Must have a Panama Seaman's Book. 5.)Must have a valid Seaman's Book. 6.)Must have a valid Passport. 7.)Must have the following trainings, Seminars & Certificates: a)Panama GOC certificate. b)ISM awareness training seminar & certificate c)ISPS training course (SSO) d)Officer uniform (black pants, white polo & black leather shoes) e)Crowd & Crisis Management Certificate for Passenger Vessels. 8.)Other important Trainings & Certificates related to Maritime Operations. |
