Job Title: Dean of Student Services
Job Duties: Participates in Program Review and Outcomes Assessment (PROA) activities. · Provides high quality student and internal and external customer service. · Plans, directs, and evaluates all aspects of student services of the college; · Supervises and coordinates the implementation of the Career Services Center goals, objectives, and activities. These goals, objectives, and activities include: the planning and implementation of college visitations, career and job fairs, resume writing and job interview workshops, and alumni association and job placement activities. · Supervises and coordinates the implementation of educational, social, cultural, and recreational programs and activities through the Students Activities Center; · Supervises and coordinates the advising of liberal arts students, advising workshops, personal counseling of students, and other activities through the Counseling Programs and Services Department; · Supervise and coordinates the implementation of all phases of the TRIO/Upward Bound, Talent Search and Student Enhancement programs; · Develops, prepares, and submits new and continuation grant proposals which affect the Division of Student Services; · Oversees maintenance of all project fiscal transactions and approves all expenditures; · Coordinates delivery and management of student services functions wherever appropriate; · Recommends the hiring, promotion, and termination of employees within the Division of Student Services; · Ensures division compliance with state, federal, and district regulations; · Advises and enforces college policy relating to student services; · Works with federal agencies; issues reports to HEW; prepares and certifies enrollment reports for state aid on a timely basis; · Maintains confidentiality regarding student information; · Assists with the production of college publications, including the NMC Catalog, student advisement and orientation manuals, and division brochures and flyers, as needed; · Supervises and evaluates the registration and admissions procedures through the Office of Admissions & Records. · Serves on college and community committees as needed; · Oversees and coordinates the implementation phases of the Information System and Technology Programs and Services. · Works collaboratively with the Director of Library Programs and Services to ensure consistency of services across NMC Rota, Tinian, and Saipan. · Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Master's degree from a U.S. Department of Education recognized accredited institution in education, educational administration, educational leadership, or related field plus two (2) years of student services experience including one (1) year experience in supervision and administration of postsecondary educational programs; grant writing experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
