| Job Duties: | Provides travel information and other services to tourists at state information center. Greets tourists in person or by telephone and answers questions and gives information on resorts, historical sights, scenic areas, and other tourist attractions. Assists tourists in planning itineraries and advises them of traffic regualtions. Advises and assists tourists with information as far as related tours and tour options and informing tourists of ways to access such tours and related services. May sell hotel services and may conduct seminar and sales meeting regarding hotel amenities and services. May conduct guided tours of the locality as a tourist destination. Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information, taking messages and scheduling appointments. Receive payment and record receipts for services. Perform administrative support tasks such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, and operating calculators or computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets and other documents. Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations. Hear and resolve complaints from customers and public. File and maintain records. Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine. Schedule appointments, and maintain and update appointment calendars. Analyze data to determine answers to questions from customers or members of the public. Provide information about establishment such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided. |

| Qualification Requirements: | ER Preference: Must be able to speak, read, and write Japanese and Russian language preferred. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
