Job Duties: Responsible in operating and maintaining propulsion engines and other engines, boilers, deck machinery, and electrical, refrigeration, and sanitary equipment aboard ship. Inspects engines and other equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts. Starts engines to propel ship and regulates engines and power transmission to control speed of ship. Stands engine-room watch during specified periods, observing that required water levels are maintained in boilers, condensers, evaporators, load on generators within acceptable limits, and oil and grease cups are kept full. Performs other related duties that may be assigned
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: ER Preference: Holder of a Panamanian License of Competency as First Engineer Officer 300KW or greater and all STCW certificates for High Speed Passenger Ferries. Preferably had previous experienced on High-Speed craft passenger ferries.Preferably have High Speed Diesel Engine experience. Have good command of both written and spoken English.Had successfully completed an approved “International Safety Management” (ISM) Awareness Seminar.
