Job Duties: Job Summary: The Art Director, under the guidance and general supervision of the Regional Marketing Manager, provides the creative abilities and advanced technological skills to create visual and multi-media presentations used to advertise and market the Corporations products and services. This includes providing graphics design services, including developing creative designs for advertisements, brochures, publications, displays, and other presentations. This position may negotiate, coordinate and supervise all external contractors and internal service providers necessary for printing and delivery of the final product. The Art Director may supervise lower-level Marketing staff, as assigned and works independently with a high level of discretionary decision-making authority, subject to final approval by the Regional Marketing Manager. The Art Director performs work for IT&E and affiliate companies in the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam and elsewhere in the Pacific area. Duties and Responsibilities: The Employee will: 1. Know and uphold the established IT&E Mission, policies and procedures, relevant provisions of the union agreement, IT&E and Department objectives, quality assurance and safety programs and standards. 2. Provide the creative ability and impetus to develop the visual and multi-media images used in all the product launches and product promotions for IT&E and its affiliates. 3. Maintain up-to-date familiarity with IT&E products and services to be able to design and produce visual presentations for communications media that accurately and attractively display the benefits of a product or service. 4. Maintain close and continuous communication with the Regional Marketing Manager and other Marketing and production staff to develop the message that will be communicated to the consumer and to develop and maintain the project advertising budget. 5. Plan, analyze, develop and produce the overall layout and production design for all point of sale (POS) materials, to include print ads, sales promotion materials, marketing brochures for products and services, promotional displays, in addition to corporate reports, executive staff presentations, and other corporate publications. 6. Conduct or coordinate product/photo shoots of products or models as needed for the advertising materials. 7. Ensure that all visual and multi-media components of a marketing campaign work together to deliver the intended message to the consumer. 8. Work with Marketing Account Executives to determine the placement schedules for all print and media advertisement materials to coordinate with their marketing campaign. 9. Coordinate with newspapers/magazines/printing companies, providing them with the advertising materials and the appropriate specifications and formats needed for compatibility with their equipment. Monitor the correct implementation of the advertising agreements. 10. Ensure that all advertising and other corporate materials/usages maintain corporate identity standards in the appropriate usage and accurate representation of the corporate logo and other corporate brands and identifiers. Also monitor contractor and media usage and effect corrections where required. 11. Assist the IT&E Webmaster by providing artistic and graphic support for the IT&E web-site. 12. Supervise assigned staff in the accomplishment of the duties and responsibilities of this position, setting performance standards and monitoring performance. 13. Cross-train other staff in various aspects of this position to prepare them to fill in as needed and for possible succession. 14. Assist other staff and functional areas in their areas of responsibility, as needed. 15. Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned or required.

Qualification Requirements: Minimum Qualification Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Art/Fine Arts with a major in Design or Advertising Work Experience: Five years in the field of graphic artistry in an advertising or marketing environment Licensure/Certification/Professional Association: None Required Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of: a. Marketing techniques, including advertising and publicity, promotions, and public relations b. Theory and techniques required to compose, produce, and effect works of visual art through various media c. Design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models d. Materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for developing, producing and effecting advertising and multi-media products e. Media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods utilizing alternative ways to inform and market via written, oral, and visual media f. Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar 2. Skills in: a. Use of personal computers and graphic design software needed for the formulation of advertising artwork b. Writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media c. Using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems d. Preparing written reports, preparing and delivering oral presentations e. Analyzing product and services marketing advertisement needs and determining solutions f. Managing one's own time and the time of others 3. Ability to: a. Develop creative and artistic approaches to communication and information dissemination b. Comprehend the technical and social aspects of wireless telecommunications products and services c. Communicate clearly, concisely and accurately with all levels of staff and customers, both verbally and in writing d. Plan, coordinate, review and correctly modify projects, programs, activities and events to ensure their success e. Make logical and sound decisions in the resolution of difficult and complex situations f. Perform in a self-directed, hard-working, creative and forward thinking manner
