Job Duties: To assist in the effective and efficient management and delivery of all Bar, Restaurant and Banquets Food and Beverage activities within the operation. To promote a customer focused culture within PIC by example and by encouraging in house training of all team members through an agreed training plan. To assist in the management of the outcomes of monthly Customer Reviews, linking these to changes in procedure and team training. To ensure the use of current Standard Operation Procedures by all team members within the department. To be able to work within any section within the Food and Beverage department. To ensure the effective management, motivation, training and development of all team members employed in the bars and restaurants. To ensure PIC facilities comply with all relevant legislation relating to health and safety, food hygiene regulations and licensing legislation To promote a safe, healthy and environmentally secure environment. To ensure the ongoing compliance with statutory requirements relating to the work of the Department Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shift. Resolve customer complaints regarding food service. Train workers in food preparation, and in service, sanitation, and safety procedures. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards. Control inventories of food, equipment, smallware, and liquor, and report shortages to designated personnel. Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures in order to ensure quality standards and service. Analyze operational problems, such as theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems. O-Net: •Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, and building maintenance in lodging and dining facilities. •Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner. •Count money and make bank deposits. •Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations. •Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation. •Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity. •Monitor budgets and payroll records, and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted. •Maintain food and equipment inventories, and keep inventory records. •Schedule staff hours and assign duties. •Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service.

Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience with anywhere from one to two years of working with experienced employees within a hotel restaurant preferred.
