| Job Duties: | Assists the Executive Chef in supervising the function of employees, facilities and costs which contribute to maximizing the overall food and beverage departmental profits. Provides functional assistance and direction to the kitchen operations. Identifies, develops and improves standards of the kitchen operation. Inspects all perishable and other food items received and delegates for correct storage. Daily inspects plate and buffet presentations to ensure quality standards, and recipes are correct. May participate in food preparation when deemed necessary. Reviews slow moving sock items and takes action to rectify. Studies and creates new and innovative products, dishes and menus. Performs other related duties that may be assigned. |
