| Job Duties: | Performs any combination of the following duties: cooking (Japanese foods) & others for the restaurant menu & manage foods,maintain kitchen clean & cook stuffs in quantities according to menu & other related duties as a Cook. Inspect food preparation & serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices. Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking. Season & cook food according to recipes or personal judgment & experience. Observe & test foods to determine if they have been cook sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling or piercing them w/ utensils. Weigh, measure & mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils & equipment. Portion, arrange & garnish food, serve food to waiter or patrons. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills & roasters. substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Bake, roast, broil & steam meats, fish, vegetables & other foods. Wash, peel, cut & seed fruits & vegetables to prepare them for consumption. |
