| Job Duties: | Supervises other ramp agents and reports directly to the Department Manager and/or general Manager for any. Must supervise agent to provide a smooth work flow.Operates equipment on loading and off-loading of baggage/cargo to and from the aircraft for both commercial and freighter aircraft;Inspects equipment regularly prior to flight operation and report to GSE mechanics should there be any defects on the equipment conditions. Operates all equipment used in servicing the aircraft such as main deck and lower deck loader, tow tug, conveyor trck, potable water truck, lavatory service truck and baggage tractors. otify consignees, passengers, or customers of the arrival of freight or baggage, and arrange for delivery.Prepare manifests showing baggage, mail, and freight weights, and number of passengers on airplanes, and transmit data to destinations.Check import/export documentation to determine cargo contents, and classify goods into different fee or tariff groups, using a tariff coding system.# Retrieve stored items and trace lost shipments as necessary. # Pack goods for shipping, using tools such as staplers, strapping machines, and hammers. |
