| Job Duties: | Assists kitchen activities of pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen workers, and purchase or requisitions food stuffs, kitchen supplies, and equipment: Inspects kitchens and storerooms to ensure that premises and equipment are clean and in order, and that sufficient foodstuffs and supplies are on hand to ensure efficient service. Examines incoming purchases for quality and to ensure that purchases are as specified in order. Approves invoices or bills for payment. Coordinates work of non cooking kitchen and storeroom workers engaged in activities, such as dish washing, silver cleaning, and storage and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies. Establishes controls to guard against theft and wastage. Confers with Executive Chef or Manager concerning banquet arrangement for food service, equipment, and extra employees. May perform other related duties as assigned. O-Net: * Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand. * Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas. * Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition. * Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars. * Sweep and scrub floors. * Clean garbage cans with water or steam. * Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. * Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving. * Set up banquet tables. * Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks. Perform other related duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | ER Preference: Must a high school graduate or equivalent plus at least 3 months of experience as a steward. Must possess a food handler certification.
