Job Duties: Keep Premises of Hotel interior and exterior in clean and orderly condition. Use of power equipment or hand tools, transport linens, supplies, and making up of beds and perform duties described in cleaner, and other duties asked of. The incumbent is expected to perform with minimal supervision a broad range of duties assigned by the General Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor, including but not limited to the following: Maintaining the safety and security of hotel property, employees, guests, and visitors. Clean amount of guest rooms/suites as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor. Clean Guest bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, and sitting areas to a high level of cleanliness according to hotel standards. Make Beds with clean linen and place clean linen in bathrooms daily. Dust rooms (including all end tables, desks, entertainment center, coffee tables, dressers, etc.) on a daily basis. Vacuum all guest rooms daily. Replace room amenities, literature and other items as prescribed by hotel. Clean doors, mirrors and other surfaces in the room. Check closets for proper number of hangers and replace as necessary. Handle all guest requests as soon as possible. Maintain supplies, linen and materials as provided. Responsible for any assigned keys. Wear proper attire: clean unifrom, proper shoes and name tag at all times. Return lost items to housekeeping at the end of the day. Report all "do not disturb" requests to Housekeeping Supervisor. Return to unfinished rooms as requested to complete tasks or replace missing items. Maintain knowledge of cleaning supplies issued daily to ensure they are used according to instructions to avoid injury/accidents or damage to hotel property. Check with Housekeeping Supervisor upon completion of room assignments before leaving for the day. Assist with preventive cleaning program as assigned. Attend all meetings related to housekeeping. Adhere to fire, safety and security procedures according to Management company and hotel policy. Comply with all hotel policies and standard operating procedures of the hotel and its management company. Must have good customer relation skills/good communication skills-will be interacting directly with guests to provide information to guests and visitors. Must show commitment to work in an environment committed to offering quality service and hospitality to guests and visitors. Must also have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain good working relationship with hotel personnel. Writing skills - will be required to log information pertinent to housekeeping duties and may be required to keep daily log of activities. Additional skills and abilities - must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout shift. Must be able to stoop and bend. Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds. Must be able to reach above head. Must be able to work with medium/heavy chemicals. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. Must have developed English Language skills to be able to participate in discussions, read and write effectively. Must be able to operate a vacuum.
