| Job Duties: | Assist cook in preparing foodstuffs according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provide cooks with needed items. Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, or poultry. Wash, peel and/or cut various foods to prepare for cooking or serving. Weigh or measure ingredients. Prepare a variety of foods according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures. Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service, or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets following temperature requirements. Apportion and serve food to customers or patrons. Package take-out foods or serve food to customers. Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking and various kitchen equipments to ensure cleanliness and functional operation. Inform supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly. Monitor food temperatures and deliver foods to various facilities as needed. Ensure Cleanliness of food service stations and production area and other duties as needed. |
