| Job Duties: | Oversees the daily performance of computer system, answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems, enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors, set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems or appropriate software, install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications, maintain records of daily data communication transaction, problems and remedial action taken, or installation activities, read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support, develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software, confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems, maitain needed files by adding and deleting files on the network server and backing up files to garantee their saftey in the event of problems with the network, test and evaluate hardware and software and to determine efficiancy, reliability, and compability with existing system, and make purchase recommendatins, work with other engineers, systems analysts, proprammers techincians, scientiests and top-level managers in the design, testing and evaluation of systems, troubleshooting and maintenance of server, workstations and point-of-sale hardware and system, instalation and maintenance of network and telephone line connections, prepare sales, marketing and operational materials, assist accounting department on daily purchasing tasks and procurments, prepare accounts payble entries and monthly reports. |
