| Job Duties: | Job Vacancy Announcements Opening Date: 8/9/11 Closing Date: Until Filled JVA No. 11-039 for Power Generation Division JVA No. 11-040 for Power Division (Transmission and Distribution) JVA No. 11-041 for Water Division JVA No. 11-042 for Wastewater Division TRADES ASSISTANT DUTIES: Under the overall supervision of the division manager or his/her designee, the incumbent’s duties and responsibilities are as follows. Assists with installations, repairs and general maintenance in service area assigned. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment in service area assigned. Assists with various construction related duties in service area assigned. Prepares job site for work including gathering and setting up materials and supplies. Cleans up, gathers and puts away equipment, materials and supplies for activities/projects. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. SUBJECT TO PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING. |

| Qualification Requirements: | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma, or G.E.D. Knowledge of: Basic preventative maintenance principles; Basic mathematics. Skill in: Performing preventative maintenance; Performing basic maintenance; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction. APPLICANTS MAY BE TESTED. LOCATION: Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, USA. POSITIONS: At least one per JVA. SALARY: $11,036.00 per annum. CONTRACT: Not Contracted. Public Law 17-36 restricts CUC in the hiring foreign national workers. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, or otherwise eligible to work in the U.S. and specifically the CNMI without needing sponsorship by CUC for a U.S. work visa.
