| Job Duties: | measures,cut,thread or bend pipe to required angle using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutter,pie threading or pipe bending machines Study bldg lands and inspect structures to assess materials and equipt needs,to establish the sequnece of pipe installation and to plan installation around obsteruction such as electrical wiring. Locate and mark the position of pipe installation,connections,passages holes or fixtures in structures using measuring inst.such as rulers or levels. Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks. Assembles pipe sections,tubing,or fitting,using coupling,clamps,screw,bolts,cement,plastic,solvent,caulking,or soldering,brazing or welding equipment Install pipe assemblies,fitting,valves,appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters,or fixtures such as sinks or toilets using hand or power tools. Direct helper engaged in pipe cutting,preassembly,installation of plumbing system or components. Cut opening in structures to accomodate pipe or pipe fittings using hand or power tools Review blue prints,bldng codes ,or specification to determine work details or procedures Install underground storm,sanitary,or water piping system,extending piping as needed to connect. |
