| Job Duties: | Diagnose and repair problems with automotive instrumentation, electronics, switches, and electrical subsystems. Perform component-level and board-level repair of electronics, such as replacing individual faulty transistors, capacitors, resistors, and switch relays, using soldering and surface-mounting techniques. Perform computer-based diagnosis of all electronic systems on car, such as instrumentation, antilock brakes, and automatic climate control. Install and repair car sound systems, alarms, and other aftermarket accessories. Also manage shop operations, assist in ordering supplies, issue estimates and invoices for customers, and ensure cleanliness and safety of shop area. |

| Qualification Requirements: | At least twenty years of experience in electronics and electrical maintenance and repair, and at least five years of experience in managing an automotive repair shop. Must have excellent skills in electronics, such as soldering and subcomponent and board-level repair, and be very familiar with electrical theory and the use of a multimeter to diagnose transient electrical and electronic problems. |
