| Job Duties: | Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), and Internet systems. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption. Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. Administer network security and back up measures to protect data, software and hardware and perform disaster recovery operations. Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Design/prepare programs to support accounting functions and reporting needs. Confer with network users to solve existing system problems. |
