| Job Duties: | JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT for Power Plant, Rota JVA No. 11-059 for Power Plant, Rota Opening Date: Wednesday, October 26, 2011 Closing Date: Wednesday, November 2, 2011 Assistant Engineer (Electrical) DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Deputy Director for Rota or his/her designee. Assists with designs, executes, coordinates, or oversees assigned pieces of projects to ensure adherence with applicable specifications and standards. Assists the public with a variety of inquiries and requests; provides technical information on projects. Maintains project files; prepares related correspondence. Prepare RFPs. Assists with design calculations, engineering drawings, and sketch preparations. Prepare technical and engineering reports. Performs system loss and efficiency studies. Performs research for Engineers. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as required. LOCATION: Power Plant, Rota, Northern Mariana Islands, USA. SALARY: $23,200.00 to $33,640.00 per annum; un-classified; un-graded. POSITIONS: One. CONTRACT: Not Contracted. |

| Qualification Requirements: | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Knowledge of: Safe work practices; Applicable Federal, State, and/or Local laws, rules, and regulations; Basic project management principles; Engineering Math; Engineering principles and practices. Skill in: Interpreting and applying Federal, State, and/or Local laws, rules, and regulations; Preparing a variety of technical reports and/or documentation; Presenting technical information to management, public groups, and other related individuals; Trouble-shooting and problem solving; Reading and interpreting scaled drawings; Preparing specifications, plans, and cost estimates; Conducting studies; Using CAD programs to prepare plans for small projects and exhibits; Using computers and related software applications; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
