Job Duties: • Inspects, repairs, and adjusts graders, scrapers, trenching machines, pans, backhoe, diesel tractors, hydraulic and cable operated attachments, and earth moving bulldozers. • Overhauls, adjust, and tunes diesel and gasoline engines; grinds valves; overhauls transmissions. • Repairs and replaces pistons, crankshafts, bearings, clutches, and hydraulic drivers. • Rebuilds and replaces tractor undercarriages; changes tracks, rollers, and frames. • Repairs miscellaneous equipment such as welding machines, fork lifts, and chain saws. • Performs related work as required.

Qualification Requirements: Qualifications: • Minimum of two years successful mechanical experience which includes: • Automotive tune up experience. • Parts repair/change out on heavy duty machinery. • High school diploma or GED. • Possess tool set including all standard hand tools including wrench and socket sets up to 1 1/2 inch (or obtain them within 90 days of hire). • Effective written, verbal, and communication skills • Current MSHA certification • Ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting and repair. • Computer literate as applied to equipment diagnostics (Microsoft Office, MIMS) O-Net: Title Job Zone Three: Medium Preparation Needed Education Most occupations in this zone require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree.
