Job Title: Engineering Technician III
Job Duties: Manages all maintenance station activities, including planning, reporting and liaisons with LAN/WAN Administrator on Internet and email problems. Schedules daily activities and plans for upcoming projects with IBB Engineering. Oversees Facilities and Antenna ground maintenance functions. Establishes guidance for employee’s on the operation and maintenance of the 100Kw Continental 418 HF transmitters and 500KW ABB transmitters, Data Link’s via Microwave, Satellite Interconnect System and Station Automation Systems including remote facilities using PLC's and security systems . Liaisons with Lead Technician on antenna preventive maintenance procedures including safety and Quality control. Reviews and approves procedures governing all departments. Consult s with IBB manager on comprehensive training plans to ensure maintenance technicians are well versed in the various station components
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: ASEE or equivalent and 10 years experience in the maintenance of High powered HF Transmitters, Microwave, Satellite systems including Antennas. Also knowledge of DSU/CSU and T-1 systems and Computer networks.Ability to Pass IBB Electronics & Digital Electronics exam.
