| Job Title: | STAFF PHYSICAL THERAPIST |
| Job Duties: | Assures that the patient has a current referral from physician, evaluates, and assesses patients prior to providing therapy. Designs appropriate patient care plan according to policies of the department. Applies modalities according to accepted practices of the American Physical Therapy Association as well as the policies and procedure manual of this physical therapy department. Directs and supervises patients in functional activities and exercise routines. Follows all guidelines for required departmental and hospital-wide documentation and records. Completes all documentation as indicated in the physical therapy services policy and procedure manual, in the time frame outlined in this manual. Provides physical therapy treatments and evaluations for both inpatients and outpatients. Supervises physical therapy assistant. Attends discharge planning and family conference meetings as requested. Participates in quality assurance activities in the department as requested by supervisor. Participates in-service training for PT and hospital staff. Performs other related duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | BS Degree in Physical Therapy from the US or equivalent degree in Physical Therapy from another country whose credentials are accepted in the USA. Current licensure in Physical Therapy in the US or Canada is required. As long as the candidate has a physical therapy degree and the PT program included internship as part of the degree program and licensor, no experience required. |
