| Job Duties: | Supervise and coordinate the activities of tour guides to ensure adherence to quality standards, work goals, deadlines, work schedules, policies, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems. Assign work schedules in accordance with work requirements to ensure quality and timely delivery of service. Review the work of tour guides; train, evaluate and counsel tour guides in the use and knowledge of service standards, optional tour program, and customer service expectations. Resolve customer complaints or answer customers' questions regarding tours, hotel food and lodging, dining, shopping, other activities, and airport pick-up and drop-off. Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes. Implement corporate or departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management. Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems. Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided. Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action. Review records or reports pertaining to tour guides duties and responsibilities, activities and other services to verify details, monitor work activities, or evaluate performance. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting employees. Interpret and communicate company work policies, standards, and procedures to staff. Coordinate activities with other supervisory personnel or with other work units or departments. Analyze financial activities of the unit and provide input into budget planning and preparation processes. Develop or update procedures, policies, or standards to improve staff performance. Make recommendations to management concerning such issues as staffing decisions or procedural changes. Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures; gives on-the-job training and coaching; monitors and evaluates performance of tour guides. Consult with managers or other personnel to resolve problems in areas such as equipment performance, output quality, work schedules, work facility, and tour vehicles. Participate in the work of subordinates to facilitate productivity or to overcome difficult aspects of work. Design, implement, or evaluate staff training and development programs, customer service initiatives, or performance measurement criteria. Develop work schedules according to budgets, workloads, and/or guests needs. Discuss work problems or grievances with management. Ensure compliance by tour guides of government rules and regulations. Apply customer/guest feedback to service improvement efforts. Arrange for necessary maintenance or repair work of facilities and vehicles. Perform other related duties as required or as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | High School graduate, GED or equivalent plus two years work experience as a tour guide or two years work experience in tour operation, sales or service related work; must be able to speak, read, write and understand Mandarin; must have excellent organizational skills, personable and flexible under pressure; must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record; must be willing to work shifts, evenings, holidays, and weekends; Must be willing to work shifts, evenings, holidays, and weekends. A highly motivated, organized, outgoing, with excellent communication, customer, sales and leadership skills an advantage. |
