| Job Duties: | Lead, develop and implement activities that appeal to a wide range of personalities and ages. Complete needs assessments to determine hoe often activities will be offered, how seasons will affect these activities and what space is available for participants. Research possible activity ideas, trying or sampling new activities and evaluating them as needed. Group activities may include sporting activities such as beach volleyball or beginner swimming lessons, games such as trivia, events such as karaoke nights or wine tastings, or activities such as volleyball and dancing lessons. Create an activity schedule that reflects the Resort’s needs. Must vary the activities to ensure the schedule appeals to as many guests as possible. Activity schedules should not interfere with other Resort events and may need to complement other scheduled events. Conceptualize activities which includes but not limited to: kids club, sports activities, guest incentives, special packages, cultural activities, fitness center, corporate events and tournaments. Supervise other recreational staff members including life guards, S&R staff and other employees. -Train other employees as necessary, introducing them to procedures such as pool safety or new activities as needed. May need to help update websites, produce announcements/newsletters or make calendars to highlight specific events. Additionally, these directors may send out invitations, publish brochures and update signage. Maintain safe work environment. Maintain and develop the Resort’s existing customer markets. |

Knowledge of hotel operations; departmental planning; conceptualizing, development and coordination of projects; guest relations; sports ethics/rules; first aid and life-saving techniques; computer operation; marketing/promotions; people management. |
