| Job Duties: | Installs and repairs industrial and commercial refrigerating systems according to blueprints and engineering specifications, using knowledge of refrigeration, structural layout, and function and design of components: Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components. Install electrical wiring and controls test for proper operation. Inspect and test system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions. Test individual components to determine continuity and necessary repairs. Repair and replace worn or defective equipment, components, or wiring. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. Reassemble and test equipment following repairs. Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution. Adjust system controls to setting recommended by manufacturer to balance system, using hand tools. |
