| Job Duties: | Provides basic nursing care such as bathing, vital sign, minor dressing changes, intake and output, Accu-check, Enemas, specimen collections, administration of oral, subcutaneous, and intra-muscular medication, observation and reporting of adverse signs and symptoms. Assists with the admission and discharge of assigned patients. Supervises Graduate Nurses and Nursing Assistants. Demonstrates leadership. Communicates openly and effectively with members of the health care team, professionals, patients and family members. Demonstrates current knowledge of the legal and ethical standards of nursing practice and patient care. Participates in QA, and CQI programs. Assist with preparation of the Nursing Care Plan. Assists in maintaining cleanliness of the unit. Performs other related duties or tasks as directed by the Charge Nurse or Unit Manager. |
