| Job Duties: | Under the general supervision of the division manager for Power Generation or his/her designee. Serves as a foreperson, leading a team of workers - assigning and monitoring work and providing technical direction. Trouble shooting and Problem Solving. Plans work and prepares daily schedules and submits for approval. Responsible for teams output and productivity. Performs inspections and monitors subordinates work. Responsible for safety and enforcing CUC policies within the team. Performs inventory spot checks on tools, parts and materials; processes requisitions for necessary tools, parts and materials. Prepares and submits weekly and monthly reports. Provides technical advice and performs journeyman level operations and maintenance level work in the service area assigned. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as required. |

| Qualification Requirements: | High School Diploma or General Education Diploma or Adult Basic Education. Four years of journey-level experience in the area assigned (in this case, Mechanic), including one year of experience leading a crew. Graduation from a Vocational/Technical Institution as a mechanic. Knowledge of: Principles and procedures of service area assigned; Inspection and troubleshooting principles; Preventative maintenance principles; Inventory control principles; Mathematics for Technicians. Skill in: Preparing daily schedules, prioritizing and assigning work to staff; Trouble shooting; Preparing cost and materials estimates; Performing preventative maintenance; Performing journey level operations and maintenance in service area; Performing site inspections and recognizing problem areas; Using computers and related software applications; Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction. |
