| Job Title: | Ultrasound/X-Ray Technician |
| Job Duties: | Provides ultrasound examination using high frequency sound waves for the purpose of diagnosis anatomic and physiology disorders. Select equipment for use in ultasound test ordered by physicians. Explains procedures to patients, records additional medical history considered necessary, and instructs and assists patient in anatomic and physical position for required exposure to ultrasonic waves. Operates equipment applying appropriate examining techniques and observes sound waves display to note ultrasound pattern produces checking for factors such as position, obstruction or change of shape; determines if the images are satisfactory for diagostic procedures. Performed OB-GYN, pelvic, abdominal, thyroid, breast, prostate, scrotal and needle guided ultrasound. Practices sterile technique and prevents cross contamination to patients and instruments. Take good quality radiograph. Uses equipment to minimize hazards of patients and personnel. Care for and operates X-Ray equipment and safely handles X-Ray films to prevent deterioration. Attends to each patient promptly and courteously making sure the utmost comfort is given. |
