| Job Duties: | Summary Under the general supervision of the Logistics Manager and Dispatcher, the Tractor Trailer Driver operates the tractor/trailer in the transportation of foreign & domestic containers as assigned by the Logistics Manager and/or Dispatcher ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: be assigned. • Operates tractor/trailer in accordance with prescribed procedures. • Observes safety practices and rules of the road. • Checks gauges & visual indicators for malfunctions and conducts daily inspection of vehicles prior to trip and after completion of duty. • Prepares and completed CDT’s for containers delivered; verifies load against shipping papers. • Reports any equipment problems that may be occurring to the Trucking Manager / Fleet advisor. |
