Job Duties: | Technician should be able to manually tune the 100kw Continental 418/419 Transmitters and the ABB 500 KW High Powered transmitters. Also required to repair any problems with the transmitter circuitry and associated Control room ancillary equipment. Well versed in PLC Remote control links via Microwave Systems to connect Saipan and Tinian SAS computer programming is required as well plus Remote Antenna switching for the Matrices. Be able to use test equipments on the sites including Spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, Network analyzers using Smith Chart representation as well as High Voltage Hi-Pot component testing. Also troubleshoots problems with the Satellite interconnect Systems and Station Automation systems. The job also requires fixing any problems on the Antenna arrays as well as correcting arcing problems, Slew Problems and cable problems. Must be experienced in the High frequency /Short wave environment and the various station components required for this position. |

Qualification Requirements: | Three (3) years of "hands on" work experience in support of installations, repair, and troubleshooting of Broadcast transmitters, communications systems of equipment. Associate's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology; or completion of formal resident trade school or apprentice program in electronics; or completion of U.S. Military schools in electronic communications equipment or systems |
