Job Title: Executive Chef
Job Duties: Oversee, and supervise all culinary activities in the entire outlet in the daily operations, and banquets. Ensure that his subordinates in the kitchen are trained to prepare the dishes in a timely fashion and with a consistent level of excellence. Check quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. Estimate amount and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients. Instruct cooks or other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing or presentation of food. Supervise or coordinate activities of cooks or workers engaged in food preparation. Order or requisition food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation. Check the quantity and quality of received products. Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays. Work with the restaurant manager in preparing price and menus for daily operations in all outlets, banquets and all other outlet reservations. Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition. Estimate food cost and consumption. May cook selected items or for selected occasions. Oversee special events, offer culinary instructions, or demonstrate culinary techniques. Use food development plan to improve the sales and profitability of the outlet. Provide leadership in establishing high-quality standards in all kitchen operations and ensure the kitchen compliant with the regulatory requirements for food handling, equipment, work areas, sanitation and safety. Make employment decisions including interviewing, hiring, evaluating and disciplining personnel as appropriate. Perform other task as assigned and determine by the Operations Manager.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: Preferably have a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent. One to Two years of work experienced in the related field. In depth knowledge of the various processes for food control, labor cost control, food handling, pricing, cooking techniques and leadership expertise. Design and develop extra ordinary signature menu for the outlets with fashion and consistent level of excellence. Willing to work under pressure, be able to stand for prolonged period of time. Possess good customer service skills, ability to manage a diverse group of people. Should have a good personal hygiene, creativeness and have a sense of smell and taste. Food Handler Certified.
