| Job Duties: | Oversee activities directly related to providing services and selling merchandise for a pawnshop business. Must be able to appraise the value gold, diamond, precious stones, electronics and other valuable items. Have familiarity with the handling of cash transactions and inventory. Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties to maximize efficiency. Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes. Prepares proposal for future projects and meet with clients to finalize and close the deal with. Determine what other brands or products of equipment the company can carry and sells to clients and set prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand. Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, representing management in purchase negotiations. |
