Job Duties: Duties and Responsibilities: The Northern Marianas College Foundation is a College-related private non-for-profit organization that serves as the development, fundraising and alumni engagement activities operation for Northern Marianas College. It is seeking an Executive Director to provide institutional leadership of the Foundation and will ultimately drive development, fundraising and alumni engagement operations along with appropriate Foundation Boards, the NMC president, administration and faculty. Reporting to the Foundation Board, the Executive Director is responsible for: • Management and success of the Foundation, including all Foundation fundraising programs that will incorporate annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, special events, corporate and foundation giving, grants, and capital gifts. • Management of a personal portfolio of major gift prospects. • Handles all alumni engagement functions, activities and events. • Oversees the execution of the Foundation's strategic plan and works closely with the College administration to align Foundation strategies and objectives with College goals. • Raises unrestricted and restricted corporate and foundation support for all areas of the College at annual and major gift levels. • Works with alumni, faculty, administration, and volunteers to identify, cultivate, and solicit College corporate and foundation prospects. • Prepares gift and grant proposals for corporate and foundation major gifts. • Implements a culture of corporate philanthropy throughout campus. • Represents the College and Foundation at appropriate functions and events in a manner that will heighten the quality of the relationships and advances the positive perception of the College and Foundation. • Initiates opportunities for Foundation Board members, faculty, staff, and administrators to interact with corporate and foundation prospects. • Maintains knowledge of all College priorities and inspire the respect and confidence of the College, donors, and potential donors. • Provides high-quality student and internal and external customer service. • Makes effective oral and written presentations. • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Qualifications: Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree. Degree must be from a U.S. Department of Education recognized accredited institution. • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with progressive responsibilities, preferred in organizational development or a related field (e.g. sales). • Significant experience managing budgets and staff. • Strong team-building, planning, and problem-solving skills. • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, at every level of the organization. Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s degree. Degree must be from a U.S. Department of Education recognized accredited institution. • Successful track record in securing funding and leadership of successful advancement efforts. • Fundraising certification. • Management of major gift campaigns. • Professional management experience in alumni relations and annual fund raising from an institution of higher learning. • Knowledge of planned giving. • Working with individuals from diverse, cultural, economic, education, age and gender backgrounds.
