Job Title: Landscaper
Job Duties: Operate vehicle and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicle, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutlers and pruning saws. Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edger’s. Care for established lawns, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Use hand tools, such as shovel, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners or chain saws. Gather and remove litter. Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouse, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters or other ground features. Select or cut trees according to marking or sizes, types or grades. Plant variety of landscaping materials like lawns, shrubbery, flowers for the purpose of keeping the ground attractive. Cleans all equipment use in grounds maintenance such as mowers, trailers, wood chipper, bush cutter and a variety of hand/power tools. Landscapes new ground areas, repairs damaged ground areas and replace bushes, shrubs and lawns in order to control plant disease and insects. Perform other task assigned and determined by the Supervisor.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Need anywhere from a few days to a few months of training. Considerable knowledge of methods of landscaping, occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable for grounds keeping, knows proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides, cultivation, weed control, seeding, planting of trees and nursing beds. Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment. Knowledge of use and care of motorized equipment and hand/power tools used in grounds maintenance work. Job maybe require walking, standing, bending, lifting, climbing in a long period of time. Willing to work in flexible shifts, in all weather conditions with excessive dusts or dirt, evenings, weekend and holidays.
