| Job Duties: | Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or optimize customer service.Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, inventory control warehousing, or receiving. Maintain parameters such as lead-times, order cycles, service levels, forecasts, presentation and profiles, history exceptions.Achieve agreed upon in-stock targets.Manage distribution of discontinued and/or end of seasonal merchandise to effectively liquidate the inventory.Maintain records of goods ordered and received.Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.Manage sales and stock projections for new or best selling items.Review and analyze information on common reports and in-stock reports to discover potential upcoming stock issues or other opportunities.Other duties and responsibilities as needed. |
