| Job Duties: | Position purpose / scope: Primarily responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the local and wide area network in use across the property, including client computers, servers, communication equipment, peripheral devices, and all associated software. Works closely with the Director of IT in preparing annual budget for the IT Department. Manages costs and service to stay within approved IT network budget. Work closely with the Director of IT in designing, planning and implementation of all network changes and procedures. Updates and enforces network access and computing standardization procedures. Insures data integrity and recovery for all network resources. Coordinates all network upgrades to minimize downtime. Designs and enforces standard computer configuration for all personal computer software and communication software. Maintains all communication hardware including CSU/DSU’s, routers, switches and various communication lines. Works directly with department managers to resolve critical business issues or service issues. Researches and recommends products/solutions which will enhance the network using cost/benefit analysis. Makes professional product recommendations by remaining current with all networking hardware/software, personal computer hardware/software and peripheral devices. Functions and responsibilities: Must be able to respond quickly, including when on-call, to troubleshoot and repair failures preventing access to critical systems and applications throughout the organization. Must maintain Local Area Networks (LAN) which includes daily monitoring for system failures, performing daily data backups, network performance tracking, hardware and software installation and upgrades, and customer support. Coordinates and performs server maintenance for all systems used by the property. Creates and enforces standards for network equipment at the property. Works closely with the Director of IT and IT Systems Administrator to perform and monitor all data backup systems. Creates and maintains all necessary network related IT documentation. Works with the Director of IT in creating fail-over and recovery plans for all aspects of the property’s communication network and servers, and incorporate these into the company’s overall disaster recovery plan. Make recommendations for improvements on networking hardware and software. Provide guidance and technical advice to other IT staff. Work closely with IT vendors to upgrade and/or maintain the properties systems and network. Installs and maintains computer and network equipment and related systems including: PC’s, servers, switches, wireless equipment, peripherals, printers, communication lines, new software, system upgrades, software patches, time clocks, POS equipment, KIOSK, printers, backup and storage systems, and generally all network connected hardware. Will frequently be a part of IT team(s) working on numerous large-scale projects that require coordination among and from all team members and vendors. This will include project and solution analysis, design, testing, scheduling, communicating updates, coordinating other IT staff and working closely with vendors to successfully implement solutions. Provide guidance and technical advice to staff and assist other IT department staff with the support of property computing hardware and systems as needed. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Education High School diploma or equivalent required. Degree in a Technology related field preferred. CISCO Certification required, CCENT minimum CCNA or CCNP preferred. 4 years experience with CISCO products will be considered as substitute to certifications. Knowledge and skill requirements: 2-4 or more years of network administration experience. Experience administering a wide area network for a multi-site organization. Proven troubleshooting skills with server and switch hardware; TCP/IP connectivity; Windows Server products; Microsoft Windows desktop products and Microsoft Windows networking. Experience implementing and maintaining WAN’s; CISCO switches; VPN connectivity; wireless networking, network security and leased communication lines. Experience configuring and maintaining a corporate email system. Exercises sound judgment and utilizes initiative and creativity to identify solutions and solve problems. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, manage and carry out simultaneously a variety of complex projects and tasks. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences and settings. Ability to synthesize, compare, and analyze data. Must be willing to work at multiple sites and occasionally spend the night away from home. Must be energetic, flexible, innovative, adaptable and team oriented. Must maintain complete confidentiality regarding records, documentation, reports and other information related to company information. Self-motivated with excellent organizational, planning and scheduling aptitude. Must possess physical and emotional endurance to work within a fast paced, stressful environment for long periods of time, while maintaining patience, control and a professional customer service attitude. Ability to respond to difficult and stressful situations in a professional, efficient, effective and positive manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with administrators, supervisors, front line employees, and the general public, promoting good public relations and a cooperative, productive working environment. Physical requirements: Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Must be able to see and read computer screens for up to 8 hours a day Must be able to work adjusted shifts and be available for calls when necessary in a 24x7 environment Relationships: This position reports directly to the Director of IT Works closely with all other IT staff Works closely with employees of the organization to assist them with all technology related issues and projects. Will regularly interact with IT related vendors Must interact with other staff, vendors, customers, and guests in a courteous and professional manner. |
